Outfit of the Day: June 5,2013
Well, well, well…whadda ya know? It’s OOTD time again here at the Soar Thumb headquarters! Today, I wanted to go for a really relaxed look, and it was hot so I went with a skirt. I needed to wear flats because I tend to wander when I have a Starbucks Iced Coffee that will need refilling. My slight case of ADHD won’t let me sit still for too long.
The paisley scarf…which is my go-to summer scarf is from Target. I love this scarf because it’s thin and paisley and it does a really good job as a fan if needed. I like to wear a scarf in the spring and summer months, because in GA, every surface is ‘cook-an-egg’ hot…all day. I use it to rest my arms and elbows and as a place mat for my booty on hot park benches. It may as well match my outfit, even if its purpose is non-fashion related!
Here I give you guys a little one-earring action! It’s a little heart, but it is actually quite heavy. I only recommend this earring for someone who is used to wearing big earrings or hoops. I nabbed it at Aldo’s, I bought them so long ago their probably sold out, but you can shop similar here, here, or here.
My outfit is an H&M Striped Mini Body-Con skirt with an Old Navy 3D Owl tee and the pewter gold Oxford shoes are from Charlotte Russe. One of my favorite things about this outfit is that it goes from day to night quite flawlessly. If I’d thrown on my sparkly gold stilettos, I would have been ready to hit the town! It also could go well with a navy blue blazer, a denim jacket, or a lightweight knit shrug. I sometimes rock this little number in the winter too with tights, some knee high boots and a tan cardi!
This last picture may seem like a blooper. My hair does what it wants, when it wants! It’s like a little Mariah Carey growing out of my head. But, I really just wanted to give you guys an example of how I use my scarf as a protector against third degree burns.
