March Favorites: Spring Prep!

My March favorites are all things that are gonna help me prepare my skin and mane for the warmer weather.

March Favorites

My March favorites list is an awesome spring survival kit! I have never really considered doing monthly favorites posts. It’s a popular topic with vloggers, and I enjoy watching some of my favorite vloggers tell us what they like every month. I wasn’t sure how that would translate in text. But, my March favorites list is an awesome spring survival kit. This month I have bought some really really great products. I also thought this post would be important because every spring these companies roll out a bunch of products that are supposed to make your lives so much better, and they end up being mostly crap! So I volunteer to be the guinea pig.

My March favorites are made up of mostly hair, body, and beauty products. Everyone knows that the fall to spring transition is one of the hardest, on top of an already present need to prepare for a seasonal change. Different times of year do different things to your skin, hair, nails, and body functions. It’s important to be prepared for these changes.

First up is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine product collection. I love this stuff! I purchased the shampoo, conditioner, the Frizz Defeat Deep Treatment, and the Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream. Together these products work extremely well. But, I was more concerned with how they work separately. So I tried each item with different shampoos, conditioners, and treatment and they still worked miracles on my frizz prone natural do! This is great, especially in the notoriously humid GA weather.

This is in my March Favorites because it helps me fight the dreaded FRIZZ!!!

As a free gift with purchase, I received a compact Blush Subtil powder in Blushing Tresor from Lancôme. I never thought I would say this about Lancôme…but the shit is amazeballs! While I don’t recommend this particular product if you are prone to dry skin, it works wonders on oily types. The blush is perfect for combination and oily skin because its oil free and oil-absorbing, it stays put for quite some time, and the pigmentation is awesome. This blush is perfect for those dewy and sweaty spring months when the temp rises a bit higher than you’re used to. I like this particular color because it’s really subtle and not too rosy. This might be my favorite March favorite.

This blush is awesome! It may have been a March Favorite, but I’ll be wearing this shade until Labor Day!

More March favorites on the skin care front include T.N Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Clean & Clear Dual Action oil free moisturizer, and 100% pure tea tree oil from Now Essential Oils. I cannot live through this spring without these products. The witch hazel serves triple duty as a cleanser, astringent, and an inflammation and irritation relief agent. It works wonders for makeup removal and deep cleaning.  P.S- I use it for normal and body acne! Tea tree oil is a wonder essential oil! It’s so great that I won’t even try to explain…I’ll post a video here to tell you what I mean. The Clean & Clear Moisturizer is just great so far. I am trying it for the first time and so far so good. It has helped to clear up some of my break outs and sometimes even in as little as a day or two. The only complaint I have is that it can leave my skin feeling a bit tight.

So there you have it! Some of the things that are gonna get my hair and skin through the spring. My March favorites may all slither their way into summer with me because they have all been so helpful. I’ll be sure to keep you guys posted!
